The GPSMAP 62s is equipped with a 3-axis electronic compass that displays your heading even when you are stationary or not holding it level. Its barometric altimeter follows the evolution of atmospheric pressure in order to determine your altitude with precision and allows you to monitor the evolution of climatic conditions.
